Plain Vanilla Mom

Father’s Day Gifts Kids Can Make

in family, Father's Day on 23/05/16

Father’s Day is right around the corner. I will be the first to admit I am always right on top of it as far as having the kids make Mother’s Day gifts, but for some reason Dad tends to get overlooked in the handmade department. Well not this year!

Father's Day Gifts Kids Can Make

Dads really do love getting projects from their kiddos just as much as we Moms do.  So please, please, please… don’t overlook Dad, Grandpa, Uncle or whomever on Father’s Day because you think that guys might not care that much about getting kid crafts as gifts. They will cherish those little projects for years to come just as much as you do!

With that in mind I scoured around the web a bit and reached out to a few friends to come up with a little list of ideas to get you started.  There’s still plenty of time before Father’s Day to pull off any one of these projects.

Father’s Day Gifts Kids Can Make

Salt Dough “DAD” Picture Frame  from The Soccer Mom Blog

This Father’s Day Mobile from Thinking Outside The Sandbox  is so sweet.

Toddler Made Salt Dough Picture Frames   from Uno Zwei Tutu

A Personalized Pillow Case   like this one from One Creative Mommy would be a fun project for older kids to make.

I Love the idea of a Man Bouquet and the best part is you can personalize it with whatever your guy loves! – One Creative Mommy

Does Dad like to read? These Kid-made Bookmarks  by Cutting Tiny Bites,  Tie Shaped Bookmarks  from Buggy & Buddy, or these Funny Photo Bookmarks  from Joys of Boys are sure to be a hit.

Got a lego lover (Dad or child)? This Lego Card Holder is the perfect project. – Planet Smarty Pants

My husband would be a “super” fan of these  Super Hero Handprint Coasters  – via Messy Little Monster

This Tacky Tie Craft  from Simple Home Blessings, is perfect for a toddler or preschooler to make. I know my three year old would enjoy this activity.

Does Dad like dessert? Bake him his favorite. This Angel Food Cake with Pistachio Cool Whip Frosting is hubby’s favorite.

A Tin Can Pencil Holder might be the perfect addition to Dad’s desk.  – Buggy & Buddy

This Walking in My Father’s Shoes Father’s Day Craft  is a sweet sentiment. – JDaniel4’s Mom

This You Are My Sunshine Photo Gift  from Teach Me Mommy is adorable for Dad (or anyone any day for that matter) Love it! I especially think the Grandpa’s and the Pop Pops might like this one. What Granddad doesn’t love photos of their grandkids?

Handprint Art Keepsake – School Time Snippets

Nuts & Bolts Heart Craft  – Mosswood Connections

Perhaps a  Picture Frame made out of Aluminum Foil.  – Planet Smarty Pants

I love what  Kids Stuff World did with this Bottle Cap Birdhouse.

This Father’s Day Frame from We Made That,  looks simple for kids to make & I love the contrast of colors.

I Love You Daddy Painted Canvas is both beautiful & priceless. – via Whisky Tango Foxtrot

Salt Dough Hand & Footprint Heart Keepsake  – Rhythms of Play

This Remote Holder from Play & Learn Every Day made from a repurposed baby wipes container is brilliant!

Pair any one of these crafts up with a Father’s Day Questionnaire like THIS ONE or THIS ONE from Mama Miss & you are sure to have a perfectly treasured Father’s Day gift on your hands.
