I told you we are on top of Father’s Day this year! If you missed it, we just published Over 20 Father’s Day Gifts Kids Can Make. Dad, Grandpa or whomever would love any one of those gifts. But, if you are really looking to step it up a notch this year and give Dad something ultra cool for Father’s Day, you have to check out this Father’s Day Gift Guide for the Techie Dad. And if you want to be sure these gifts have Dad’s approval. Well hubby edited this post for me 🙂

1. Chef Remi Cooking Thermometer
Any men in your life that like to grill? This digital cooking thermometer has an LCD instant read display with backlight giving you accurate temperature results in seconds even when the sun’s gone down.
2. Stuhrling Analog Quartz Beige Canvas & Leather Watch
This is probably the least high tech item here but sometimes a guy just needs to look good in something classic.
3. Oral B Smart Series Electronic Toothbrush w/Bluetooth Connectivity
I kid you not. My husband really did ask for an electric toothbrush about five years ago for Father’s Day. He got it, but it was not nearly as cool as this one! There’s actually an app that goes along with this toothbrush, tracks habits over time, motivates with helpful oral care tips, and senses when you brush too hard.
4. Otterbox Commuter Series iPhone 6/6s case
Dad can always use a cool new phone case right?
5. Husban x4 4 Channel 2.4GHZz RC Quad Copter with Camera
My husband promises me that if you get your hubby one of these he will love you forever 😀 The men in my life are all addicted to the Quad Copter craze. My husband, my Dad, my brother, my boys. They are all in on it. Do yourself a favor and get THIS set of extra props for it though because they are bound to crash.
6. Propane Gas Meter
No more guessing as to when the propane tank is empty (or whether there’s enough gas left to finish grilling dinner). Handiest gadget ever!
7. Sphero BB8
Got a Star Wars fan on your list? Enough said. I’m pretty sure this is the ultimate toy for adults.
8. Sonos Compact Smart Speaker for Streaming Music
Sonos! We love our Sonos! It’s by far, the best way to stream music throughout your home wirelessly. Beats blue tooth hands down in my opinion. And the best part is if you have multiple speakers in multiple rooms throughout your home you can control them by streaming the same music to all of them or separately. Stream hubby’s favorite tunes to one room while streaming something else you prefer in whatever room you are in. How cool is that?
9, Ring Wi-Fi Enabled Video Doorbell
See and speak with visitors using your smartphone or tablet, whether you’re upstairs or across town. The app sends alerts and live video triggered by motion detection or ringing the doorbell. I mean really how cool! I think hubby may be getting one of these 😉
10. Tile – Item Finder
Omgosh! Tile made this list because we have it and I can’t live without it. I laughed when the hubs bought it for me for Christmas but in fact I don’t think I could ever find my keys without it these days. Tile comes with four Tiles so wouldn’t you know hubby stole one and attached it to our remote control. (Considering how often it gets lost behind the cushions that’s turned out to be a good thing). All you do is attach a Tile to an item. If you need to locate it, use the app and locate it by sound (it plays a little tune to help you track it down), by seeing its last known location on a map, or by marking it as “lost” and getting an alert when it’s found. Is there a man in your life who can’t keep track of his wallet? Get him Tile!
11. Philips Hue Light Bulbs
Ok, so by now you have probably figured out we love technology in this house. This was another Father’s Day request for hubby. If you haven’t met “Hue” yet you need to. We’ve converted over a few light bulbs and my favorite feature is the fact that you can control the lights via an app on your smart phone. That means if you forget to turn your outside lights on, no problem, you can turn the lights on even before you get home! Away on vacation? Hue eliminates the need to set your lights on a timer, you can turn the lights on and off via the app even when your not home.
12. Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale
Have you seen this scale? We have it and it’s super cool. Hubby actually requested it one Father’s Day a couple of years ago. I was skeptical of spending this much on a scale but it lives up to it. It automatically recognizes who you are when you step on and uploads your stats, including weight and BMI automatically to your fitbit.
