Valentine’s Day is tomorrow but there’s still time for a some Valentine sponge painting fun with your little one. You probably even already have all the necessary materials kicking around the house. As a bonus you can turn these into adorable kid made Valentine’s for your tots to pass out to friends and family.
C loves to paint. It’s his favorite art form at the moment. Of all the painting we’ve done as of late this is his absolute favorite. All I did was cut heart shapes out of regular old kitchen sponges (which I probably got at the dollar store for all I can remember). I gave him some red paint and the sponge hearts and let him go to town.
You can see we threw in some heart shaped cookie cutters too for a little variety but he kept going back for the sponge.
The results look great all on their own.
But we decided to cut out some heart shapes and turn a few into Valentine’s for C to pass out to family! This one is all ready for Daddy to find when he gets home from work.
