If you haven’t checked out this post from last year you should. We make these little pots of gold just about every year to give to A’s teachers. They are always a hit, really cute, and super fun to make! The older he gets the more he’s been able to do on his own. They are a great project, big or little.
Do you make Leprechaun traps at your house? Mr. A is obsessed with making leprechaun traps! I swear he looks forward to “Leprechaun Day” as much as Christmas. Check out how we make our “gold” and a few traps in this post.
My favorite St. Patrick’s Day craft aside from our pots of gold? Definitely this project…
For the little one we added in some St. Patrick’s Day themed sensory bins and put a lot of focus on the color green. For the sensory bins we used both rice and split peas as a medium. The split peas were the biggest hit (perhaps because they are green?)…. And to think hubby thought I was just going to make a big batch of soup, haha! (They make great vase filler too by the way if you are looking for something to freshen up your table or mantle).
Green happens to be C’s favorite color at the moment so all this focus on green has worked out well. In fact, our most recent round of finger painting resulted in this…. as Mr. C kept asking for more green paint!
Lastly I found these foam shamrocks at the dollar store. We’ve been using them as tub stickers. C loves them! Just add water and they stick wonderfully to the tub walls.
