It’s week two of the Project 52 I am taking part in this year. The theme for this week is ‘Start Where you Are’. Sounds like a good reminder to me to stay grounded, or as I like to say “be present’.
The task was to take a photo of where you are right now. Whether that be physically, emotionally, etc. it’s up to you. Well where I am, right at this moment, is very, very pregnant. Thirty six weeks to be exact.
Yesterday I made it a point to just be. Something I haven’t done in a very long time. Almost like taking a day off. A day off from the to-do list at least. See, usually I have an agenda for the day (at least in my head) but it just so happened that yesterday I did not. I had no to-do list, no errands planned, no specific housework tasks I wanted to accomplish, not even any specific activities planned for the babycakes. That part of my mind was a blank slate. In an effort to just start where I was I decided to go with it. To see where the day took me as opposed to taking the day where I needed it to go. Yes the house got a little messy, and dinner ended up being delivered, but we sure did have a lot of fun. It was a very good way to practice ‘being present’ all day long.
I highly recommend taking a day to just go with the flow.
