Fall / Thanksgiving Memory Match Game

I don’t know about you, but we’ve spent the last few days trying to recover from Halloween and now the time change. I won’t complain though because it’s been mighty dark in the morning around here and I’m welcoming the daylight with my morning coffee. While I’m busying picking up the house and putting away all the Halloween decor I thought I would share with you this little Thanksgiving themed memory/matching game that I whipped up for Mr. C. Match Game Header I recently found some adorable fall/harvest themed self inking stamps in with the Thanksgiving items at Michael’s.  They were just the thing to make a little game for the Mister. matching game 5 This memory match game was so easy to make. It literally took me less than 2 minutes. All you need are some wooden discs and rubber stamps.  I picked up the wood discs at Michaels along with the stamps. Make two discs with each stamp and you’re done! You could really make this any theme you want to just by using different rubber stamps. matching game 6 diy memory match game

Mister C is still sort of getting the hang of the whole memory game concept so we mostly do more matching than anything. Sometimes we’ll play with them face up and I’ll ask him to find the pairs or  find the match to a particular coin. Other times we’ll flip them all upside down and he will go about flipping them over until he finds a match. Either way he’s enjoying it and getting something out of it so that’s what counts. In fact, this is one of his favorite matching games to date (and I’ve tried a few). It was so easy to make,  came out very cute, and he loves it. I couldn’t be happier!
