Getting Caught Up

Ok, I owe you a post…or two, or three, as the case may be. So lets get caught up and lets talk about where or where I have disappeared to!

Did anyone manage to read July’s book Bloom by Kelle Hampton? What a great read! I loved this book. I am a sucker for any true story from the heart so I knew I would love this before I even got going. I loved her honesty and listening to her tell the story of her growth as a person. What did you all think? I must also add I’m hooked on her blog now too :)

So since I last checked in on anything really personal we’ve been blueberry picking and have baked blueberry goodies up a storm. Jam, bread, muffins and the works. The Jam was super easy! I used the recipe that comes with the packet of surejel that you get at the grocery store. And if you want a to-die-for blueberry crisp recipe check out this post I did awhile ago.

We celebrated Mr. A’s 8th birthday earlier in July. Carnival style! What a blast (and a lot of work) that was. (and no… I did not make the cake, I only wish I was that talented).

With one big birthday party behind us, I am now busy planning the little guy’s first birthday party which will happen over Labor Day Weekend. Where or where does the time go?

Oh, and did I mention we also found out that…

YUP! I’m pregnant!! We are going to be adding one more to this bunch in February. So there you have it! That was our July in a nutshell. As you can imagine the pregnant part was kind of the highlight.  In addition it has left me exhausted and more than a little bit ill feeling. In fact, doing any kind of work on the computer makes me nauseous beyond belief. I don’t know why I should be surprised. This happened last time too. Thank goodness my job at the time did not require I be in front a computer 24-7!!

So, In case you ‘ve been wondering why I’ve been posting a little less, now you know.  I’m hoping to get back on track and back to sharing with you a little more. With fall just around the corner the baking bug is starting to bite with dreams of all baked goods pumpkin. I think it might almost be time to revive Sweet Sundays.

I do hope you will stick around! I love having you, and after all, I’m going to need to keep this blog going so I have somewhere to record the plethora of cuteness that is sure to be bestowed upon us in February.

TTFN!
