What you Need

I love using dot markers for this because it’s quick (for those short attention spans), easy and relatively low mess. And dot markers are perfect for little hands. Dot Marker Paper Plate Chicks Horizontal

Assemble Your Paper Plate Chick

To make this project easier on you , and on impatient little ones, I find it’s best to cut all the pieces out ahead of time. The beak, feet & little tuft of hair were just cut freehand out of orange craft foam. Think tulip shaped when cutting the feet and hair. Present your child with all the materials and have your child use the yellow dot marker to cover as much of the plate to their liking. Trust me, if you are new to dot markers, they will love stamping dots! Once they are done, have them use the glue to stick on the eyes, beak, feet & hair tuft. My three year old needed a little help adhering the feet to the underside of the plate but my four year old managed just fine.
