I told you I was obsessed with all things colored didn’t I? I guess I should have started a mini-series on color focused activities. Here’s another simple, quick & fun activity I threw together for the Mister. I love being able to do these types of activities with him.
This one was really easy and fun to make. Mr. C got the idea behind the color matching right away but the clothespins are still a bit challenging so he spent a little more time than not just trying to make the clothespins “work”. He’s still building up the strength and dexterity to be able to use them, but that’s part of the charm of this activity. He gets to work on a lot of skills at once!
To put this together all I did was paint the clothespins with non-toxic acrylic paint (the fun part for Mom) and cut out some foam squares in matching colors. If you wanted to take it an extra step further you could finish the clothespins off with some mod podge or something to seal them with but for a quick throw together activity this worked just fine.
I actually ended up making a busy bag out of this activity for a recent road trip. We’ve played with it at home too.
As a bonus the colored clothespins made for a fun clothespin drop activity.
