I decided to take on a little personal photography project this Mother’s Day. The idea was to get in at least one photo a day for the 10 days leading up to Mother’s Day. If you have been following me on Instagram you’ve probably seen me sharing a few of them over there.
My goal was not perfectly posed shots, but to try and capture our every day as best I could, always including myself in the picture. No easy task let me tell you. And I learned a few things along the way. Like for example, I could never pull off a 365 at this stage in my life since I couldn’t even make the whole 10 days without missing one. Doh!
I put technically perfect photos aside in an attempt to capture authentic every day photos with my kids. These photos are perfect to me in every way and I am so glad that I took the time to do this. I think I may have found a new Mother’s Day tradition in the making. Here are a few of my favorite images from the project. The rest of them can be viewed HERE on my photography blog. I hope you will check them out.
