Plain Vanilla Mom

Cake Boss

in birthdays, family, parenting, Uncategorized on 04/09/14

My husband has become our own personal “cake boss” of sorts.IMG_8494It all started rather innocently after binge watching Cake Boss episodes on Neflix last winter. Around the time of Little E’s first birthday to be precise. The hubs was convinced he could pull off making E’s first birthday cake himself. I was somewhat reluctant, but decided to trust him on this one.

You be the judge.

With his confidence up at Little E’s birthday party,  he boldly announced that he would make each one of our (combined) 5 children their birthday cake this year.

We’ve had….

and….

Not bad hubby not bad.

Four down and one more to go! Every time he tackles a cake he swears up and down he’s not doing it again and every time the cake is finished and he sees the smiles he decides he’ll do the next one. Truth be told I don’t know who looks forward to it more, him or the kids.

Those are so cute!!!! He needs to try his hand at gum paste! You can make figures weeks in advance! I made little zoo animals for my sons birthday last year and they were precious!
