Plain Vanilla Mom

Leprechaun Hunt

in St. Patrick's Day on 10/02/14

Yes, you read that right. We are already turning a little green over here. I know I know, it’s not even Valentine’s day yet and I’m already writing about St. Patrick’s Day.  Well it’s been a cold winter here in the northeast, and probably where you are too for all I know.  If thinking about St. Patrick’s Day makes spring seem just a little closer then I say why not!

Lets get on with the topic at hand shall we? Leprechaun Hunt.

Leprechaun Hunt

I found these adorable leprechaun stickers at the dollar store and knew immediately just how we would use them.

Leprechaun Hunt

I cut some squares out of green paper and stuck a little leprechaun on each one. I think it would be cute to cut a shamrock shape too but these stickers are actually on the larger side and my shamrock cookie cutter wasn’t big enough when I tried to use it as a stencil so square it was.

While C was napping I hid them all around the house.  Instant leprechaun hunt! He loved it. He ran around all afternoon with those little leprechauns hiding them and finding them again. Such fun!

Leprechaun HuntAnd no, it is not lost on me that we are having a Leprechaun hunt a week before Valentine’s day in our Christmas pajamas. Crazy mixed up blogger holidays 🙂

Are you thinking about St. Patrick’s Day activities yet? If you are, you might want to check out our Lucky Little Pots of Gold, they are one of our favorite St. Patrick’s Day projects.

What a great idea! We have those exact stickers (from Target) and I know my little 2 year old will love this! Thanks so much for sharing (found you on a link through from Nuture Store’s Facebook page via babycentre’s blog).
