So I’ve been playing around with a setup I’ve seen all over Pinterest since last Christmas. Convinced with my trusty 50mm lens I could pull this off myself and while no pro, I guess I sort of did. Of course it would have been much easier to get that perfect holiday portrait if my subject would actually sit still. I got some great ones of the stuffed toys that I used for test shots. But, if everything had gone perfectly according to plan, well then…. I wouldn’t have gotten all these outtakes to share with you! Besides. I think these pictures much more genuinely reflect Mr. C’s personality this year at Christmastime than a picture of him just sitting still looking at the camera. I mean really….when does this child ever just sit still??
