Plain Vanilla Mom

Cupcake Sundaes

in cupcakes, Photography, recipes on 10/05/12

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I can not take credit for these in any shape or form. In fact, if you follow me on Facebook you might remember that I shared a post from Love From The Oven a couple of days ago which featured these Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes that she made as teacher appreciation gifts. They were too cute! There was no way I was NOT going to make these! She even included the free thank you printables in her post so I was set to go. I ran to Michael’s picked up what I needed and whipped these babies up for A to take to his teachers.  I’m sending you back to the original post from Love From the Oven for the how to’s (which are fantastic btw) but before you go I hope you take a minute to check out our pictures. These were so much fun to make (and photograph) and I can’t wait for A’s teachers to get them! He walked into the kitchen while I was putting them together and the first thing he said was “wow Mom! Those are cute”.

Not only are these good for teacher appreciation but they would be fantastic for Mother’s Day (hint hint). And what birthday party wouldn’t complete without this version of make your own sundaes?

In case you were wondering… yes that really is frosting, not ice cream!
Not only did I find the ice cream cups at Michael’s but I also found these adorable cupcake boxes so I packaged A’s classroom teacher’s cupcakes in that. I think it came out adorably!
I took my queues on packaging the rest of the cupcakes from Love From the Oven and used her free printable Thank You tags. Pure cuteness!!

Thanks Deborah! I don’t know if I had more fun making these or taking pictures of them. They are so cute!! I am going to have to use these for somebody’s birthday party or something. I can’t NOT make them again lol 🙂
